Public Invited to Open Practice Sessions for NCAA Division I Men’s Hockey West Regional at Denny Sanford PREMIER Center


Open practices have been scheduled for the teams participating in this weekend’s NCAA Division I Men’s Hockey West Regional at Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls.  

The region features three Minnesota teams, starting with top ranked and No. 1 seed St. Cloud State University facing off on Friday at 3 p.m. against Air Force. That game will be broadcast on ESPNU. The other Friday game will match Minnesota State University in Mankato versus Minnesota-Duluth at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN 3.

The regional championship will be played Saturday at 8 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN 2. The regional winner advances to the Frozen Four in St. Paul on April 5th and 7th.

The public is invited to watch the teams practice on Thursday, as follows:

Thursday, March 22

11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. | Practice (Air Force)
12:45 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. | Practice (St. Cloud State)
2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Practice (Minnesota State)
3:15 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. | Practice (Minnesota Duluth)

A limited number of tickets remain for all games and are now on sale for all games at the KELOLAND Box Office, at, or charge-by-phone at 800-745-3000. All session prices, which include all three games of the regional, are $99, $74, and $49 (some fees may apply). Single session prices, which include either both games on Friday, or the regional championship game on Saturday, are $60, $45, and $30 (some fees may apply). There is an eight ticket limit per transaction. Tickets are required for ages 3 and up.

This year’s West Regional is hosted by the University of North Dakota.
